Condition & Thoughts

G41 shows some use, system is working, the original battery is dead, so I am not including it.

Graphics are working good, firefox seems to have some odd quicks, but Opera browser works fine. I couldn't install chrome for some reason.
To see if it can game, I played Diablo 1 to see if there were graphical issues, none so far! Fun playing with a trackpoint. :)
The WiFi works, I was able to connect to my 2.4GHz band router.

This laptop has a 14" SXGA+ display, it is not IPS panel.
I had tried to install an IPS screen from a T42p, A30, T60p but their inverter cables are not long enough.

This uses a 3.33GHz Mobile Pentium 4 processor, it is the 2nd highest clocked processor for a laptop.
This has a TDP of 88W, so it likes to run hot. I dusted the laptop, removed the heat sinks, cleaned out the grills, and fans individually.
Arctic Silver 5 was applied to the CPU, Graphics card and any mosfets that contacted the heatsinks.
Of all Pentium 4 HT era laptops, this thing is huge, it was IBM's biggest ThinkPad until Lenovo superseded with the W700ds.

I was going to use the G40's battery but it gave a battery error and wouldn't let me use it.
Originally I installed LXLE to see how well it works, but the system took a long time in the software store so I installed Windows XP PE Black.

This refurb took a long time, although I couldn't install an IPS screen, the standard SXGA+ panel is still good.
The ThinkPad wall is not included in the sale.
