Title: "Singin'
The Blues"
#141
of the last 1000 Major Jugs By a lifetime Potter/Sculptor.
Comment
: This
old Bluesman has been singing the blues so long that he
has finally turned blue. He can wail those old sad songs
with conviction.
The glazes and underglazes came out especially nice. He
is glazed with a lead free stoneware glaze and is suitable
for any liquid you would care to put in him.
The Jug:
was
made from stoneware clay, sculpted by hand, finished with
various underglazes and high fired in my homemade kiln,
to 2300f. It has all sorts of interesting textures colors
and details and is definitely an original.
Size:
Large.
It stands approx.
11 1/2" tall, and 8 1/2" wide.
Medium:
Clay and glaze .
Materials
and process: Hand-thrown
and sculpted high fired clay.
Signed:
Yes.
Artist signed, numbered and dated with the year produced.
Original:
Entirely handmade using no molds.
Each jug is an original. Comes with a certificate of originality.

Recently
my wife asked if I thought I could make 1000 more jugs.
I don't know if I'm up to it, but it sounded like a challenge
to me. I've decided to give it a try. I'll document my progress
by numbering each piece from now on, beginning with number
"1 of the last 1000 major jugs", and offer
them here on Ebay. Maybe I'll make it to 1000. Maybe I won't
but it's your opportunity to participate in the experiment
and maybe own a bit of pottery history. Each piece is an
original, handmade work of art signed, dated and numbered.
Each comes with a Certificate of Originality.
What if I make more than 1000? Unlikely, but we'll cross
that bridge if we get to it. I'd have to make 150 jugs a
year for the next 7 years, Frankly, I don't want to work
that hard.
Only major one-of-a-kind jugs will be numbered in the 1000.

S/H & PAYMENT INFO :::
I
ship via USPS or UPS to the USA only. I might ship to Canada
if you are willing to pay the extra shipping . I usually
ship within 3 working days after payment clears. Weekends
and holidays excepted.
I take great care in the packaging & shipment of my
works. All works shipped are fully insured. I use new clean
boxes and packing materials . Once I give the package to
the shipper I have no control over how long it takes to
be delivered to you.
I
hate being overcharged for shipping so I don't do it. Shipping
has gotten ridiculously expensive and I don't make any profit
on it. In fact, I usually lose money on shipping. If I overcharge
you I either upgrade your order to Priority or refund the
difference.
