This is a Common Merganser Hunting Decoy that I made, and signed. The decoy measures 20 inches in length, 8 inches in height, and 7 inches in width. The canvas is tight, with no tears, rips, or sags. The frame is true, with no misshaped ribs. The decoy has been painted to depict a Common Merganser, frequently seen in the fresh and coastal waters of Massachusetts and Connecticut. The head is hand carved, and has glass eyes. The decoy has a wood keel, along with a leather thob to tie a weighted decoy line to. The decoy is weighted to self-right. The decoy comes with both ribbons it won in a Connecticut Carving Show this past spring - a 1st Place Ribbon, and a 2nd Best in Show Rosette. I have been making my own decoys to hunt over since the early 1980's. If I can answer a question or two that you may have, let me know. Thank you....Wm. Gilliand
