Vintage Alvar Aalto desk, made in Sweden for Artek.  This desk dates back to the late 1950s and in overall excellent condition.  Made of birch, the top is beautiful with great birch graining and very clean, with no scratches or signs of wear to speak of.  There is a little soiling in one of the drawers and a small crack at the very bottom of the inside of the desk that can be seen in the last photo. The desk is heavy and very solid.  It is exceptionally well made and yet very simple with its clean modern lines.  The stool is not included.  Please note the measurements, the desk is several inches lower than an average desk.  Measurements are 39"W x 21"D x 26"H.
