The morning of August 4th 1892 dawned with the promise of a warm summer day. No one ever suspected that it would give way to a mystery that, 121 years later, continues to perplex and fascinate. The murders of Andrew J. Borden and his wife, Abby D. Borden, shocked the citizens of Fall River and caused an international sensation when Mr. Borden's 32 year old daughter, Lizzie, was charged with the crime. After a sensational thirteen day trial Lizzie Borden was acquitted of all charges.
The case remains unsolved.
You are bidding on a one night stay for two in the John V. Morse guestroom for the evening of Sunday, August 4th 2013. It was in this room on the morning of August 4th 1892 that the body of Abby D. Borden was discovered.
