Dawes Galaxy Touring Bike Reynolds 531 tubing. Frame measures 64cm (25.5 inch) from the center of the pedal crank to the point where the seat tube enters the frame. Schwalbe Marathon tyres. This bike is a pleasure to ride, has been well maintained. It has the inevitable minor scuffs and scratches and a few stone chips but otherwise is in a good overall condition for its age. Regarding delivery:- Collection is preferred as I simply don’t have time to find a bike box, dismantle the bike, arrange and wait for couriers, but I may be able to deliver the bike assembled up to 150-200 miles radius from Cardiff for between £25 to £40 (Manchester, London, Southampton, Exeter). Front cogs are 46-36-26 and the rear are 11-30 which is the standard Dawes 21 speed touring ratio. The wheels are Mavic double butted T221 and take 700c (28 inch) tyres. It will suit someone between 5'10 and 6'4. I'm 6'3 and used to ride it with a 6 inch stem extension to make the ride more upright as I prefer comfort over speed. The brakes are Shimano Deore LX cantilever and the groupset is the original RSX. If there's anything I haven't mentioned here feel free to ask. |
