Vogue Paris Original 1389 ....... designed by Patou ....... Dated 1957 ....... Vintage size 12: 32 inch Bust, 34 inch Hips ....... Breathtaking Dress with draping / ruching on the Bodice piece, going from the side through back ....... an elegant, slightly boxy Coat design that flows over the Dress, and that is open in front, lined, and with 2-piece Sleeves ....... Oversize Pattern Envelope 8" x 10.5".

From the Pattern Envelope: "One piece dress and coat. The full double gathered skirt joins the bodice. Plain bodice front with soft draping in back terminating in two loose panels. Oval front neck-line, deep in back. Straight coat has a standing band collar. Released pleats from shoulders. Three quarter length sleeves."

COMPLETE ....... includes the Pattern Envelope, all 24 tissue pieces, 2 Sewing Instructions sheets (one for the Dress and one for the Coat), and a separate General Sewing Instructions guide, as well as a Fabric "Vogue Paris Original" sew-in label ....... please note: the purse in the model's hand, pictured on the front of the Pattern Envelope, has been written on in ink with, presumably, the previous owner's initials A.E.T.C., but there are no other ink notations on the Envelope.

The Dress has 15 tissue pieces,and the Coat has 9 pieces:
DRESS: Under Bodice Back 1; Under Bodice Side Back 2; Under Bodice Side Front 3; Under Bodice Front 4; Under Skirt back 5; Under Skirt Front 6; Skirt 7; Upper Bodice back 8; Lower Bodice Back 9; Interfacing 10; Bodice Front 11; Bodice Facing 12; Drapery 13; Panel 14; Bow 15.
COAT: Coat back 16; Coat Front 17; Stay Back 18; Stay Front 19; Sleeve Back 20; Sleeve Front 21; Collar 22; Lining Front 23; Lining Back 24.

PRINTED pattern tissue is Used and in excellent condition, without tears or alterations,
and they have NOT been shortened or lengthened either ....... all 24 tissue pieces are pictured ....... Pattern Envelope in overall good condition and intact ....... please note, the fold-line of the Pattern Envelope flap (INSIDE only) has been meticulously re-inforced using Archival Quality, translucent, acid-free tape made by Lineco (available on ebay and elsewhere) ....... to clarify: there is no acid-free tape, or any other tape, applied to the outside surfaces of the Pattern Envelope.
