The watch signed to the case and with a most attractive gold engraved dial.  This type of watch is featured in the book on 19th and 20th century Pocket-Watches by Alan Shenton on pages 180-181. The watch just cleaned and overhauled by my watch-maker and keeping very good time for a 150 year old pocket watch

THE DIAL: 100% mint, with a most attractive gold dial. The watch dial with country pastoral scene, with subsidary seconds and two time-zone dials. One is in classic Roman numerals and the second with Turkish numerals. The watch with blue steel hands and inner bezel with a new crystal covering the dial, which measures 40 mm.

THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with gilt plates and a Bosely regulator, and blue steel screws. An uncut two arm bimetallic balance, with hairspring and straight line Swiss lever escapement. The movement overall of very good quality and with 15 capped ruby jewels. The watch ticking away on my desk as I type this, and keeping very good time for a 140 year old watch.  The watch is key-wound, and set through the back and comes with a key. The movement overhaul in superb order showing little wear and excellent gilding to the plates and dust cover. The watch runs for ca. 30 hours and comes with a winding key, with the movement wound through the back cover and also the hands set by two separate key-wind shafts for the two independnt tiem zones.

THE CASE: 100% mint, the solid gold  hunter case measures an impressive 46 mm. The front and rear covers are excellent, both are hinged and close nice and tightly. The case made of 18k gold, with gilded finish. The inner dust cuvette with engraving around the winding holes. The case with shield and garter to centre of top cover. The top cover snapes down and is opened via the edge of a finger-nail. The inner case bezel very finely engraved and chased and signed by the retailer, Lobel of Geneva and with 15 ruby jewels.  All springs have been removed from the case and the case carefully cleaned, the springs re-greased and replaced back into the case. This is a high quality Turkish marker hunter watch, and watch in this condition are now becoming very hard to find.
