THE DIAL: 100% mint, the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and in bright condition with no chips or hairlines. The dial with blue steel spade hands. Diameter is 67 mm. The crystal is also in excellent condition and retained securely, with the odd mark to edge of the glass.  The dial not clearly signed, but the lower part, partly reads, WEX..

THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with finely finished gilt plated movement and a Bosley regulator, and blue steel screws. A cut two arm bimetallic balance, with hairspring and club tooth lever escapement and balance cock and balance of rare patent form The movement of good quality and with 15 jewels. The watch ticking away on my desk as I type this, and keeping excellent time and just cleaned and overhauled by my watch-maker.  The watch is much brighter and  crisp than in these dark photos, which are limited by my camera and lighting equiment.  The watch is in very good working order for its age.

THE CASE: 99% mint, the solid 18k case measures 114 mm from the base of the case to the top of the bow. The front and rear covers are excellent, both are hinged and close nice and tightly. The case with rear cover and inner silver dust cuvette, clean and with a few tiny scratches to the centre of the rear cover. The case band with olive type hands-set at 11.00. The inner dust cuvette, sigbned Ancre, 15, rubies and spiral breguet hairspring.

The outer rear cover with the Royal Coat of arms of the Sweden to the reverse with Lions double queued and crowned, and the shiled quartered, with Ducal crown above. To the inside dust cover, a later simple hand engraved inscription dated 3rd February 1918, for F(J) O Jonsson, clearly gifted after WW1.

This is a high quality case, a work of art in its own right in crisp condition and of jewel like quality. The pictures show minor reflections and various dark marks, these are an artefact from the lighting and are not present in the watch case. This is a very fine period  goliath watch in simply stunning condition, which is a very rare collectable item or a possible investment for the future or of course a fine gift for a birthday, anniversary, wedding etc.
