A fantastic 5 in 1 weather station desktop clock by the high end Swiss watch brand Angelus.
The piece includes a barometer, a hygrometer, a thermometer, a compass and a clock.
The piece is of cube form in brass with a gilt finish with an instrument in a glazed aperture to each side and a compass in a circular glazed aperture to the top.
The faces of each instrument are of a brushed silver finish with blued steel hands, apart from the clock which has gold coloured hands with luminous highlights.
The piece swivels on its base for easy desktop reading and for using the compass.
The clock face window is hinged to allow access to the winding mechanism and alarm feature.
The dial of the clock is named ‘Angelus, Swiss’.
There is a serial number to the base of ‘883’.
~ Dimensions ~
The piece measures 8cm (3 ¼ inches) by 8cm (3 ¼ inches) and has a height of 10cm (4 inches).
It weighs 970g.
~ Condition ~
There is a some wear to the finish in parts but the condition is good overall with no damage to the piece.
One of the hands for the barometer has come off but is still present.
The clock and compass are in full working order.
As for the other instruments, they appear to work but it’s hard to tell but it’s a nice day today and the barometer reads between fair and very dry, which is about right.
