Buttons numbered 1 - 6 are pre-programmed blending cycles designed for common made drinks. Each button can be reprogrammed for a variety of custom blending cycles. Blending programs were researched and developed through years of experience with the world’s largest restaurant chains, for a variety of blended drinks - from frozen coffees and ice cream drinks to smoothies, shakes and frozen cocktails.Display Window… This window displays a variety of operation messages depending on what button is pressed. A ’Ready’ message appears when there is power to the blender.High/Low Pulse Setting… The Pulse button quickly increases the speed of the blades for refreshing or finishing a drink. Press the H button to increase the motor speed to 100%. Press the L button to increase the motor speed 50%. The Pulse button will override the running program. Once released the original program setting will continue its cycle.Owner Controls… Press the Vita-Mix logo on the control panel to access custom programming options.Sound Reduction… T & G2 is quiet too! CONDITION: This blender was in service for approximately 2 years and has been in storage for approximately 2 - 3 years. Blender is being listed for the original owner who purchased this unit in factory new condition. There are typical signs of use consistent with a commercial application, such as scuffs or scratches and a few plastic nicks on motor base and other parts, as would be expected. Please note, the motor base has a 1½" long crack in the housing on the left side where the cover attaches and we have included a close-up image for your review (please see pic #12). It may be possible to glue or repair to prevent further cracking, if so desired. While I consider these blemishes to be cosmetic only and should not have an affect on the use of this blender, must be mentioned for an accurate description. In addition, the cover has two areas of intact stress cracks and is missing the front handle, but cover should still do its intended job of noise reduction. The 3-prong grounded plug is intact and the 6’ long cord is flexible without fraying or cuts in the insulation. Blender was tested prior to cleaning and retested just prior to listing - plugged in and 'Ready' message appeared immediately in the illuminated display window when unit was powered on. The motor runs quiet, smooth and strong, and is in good working condition. All six program buttons were tested and cycle as they should. We are unsure if the programs listed above are original pre-programmed blending cycles from Vita-Mix Corp., however, you have the option to reprogram the blender for 34 custom blending cycles. All parts were washed or wiped down to the extent possible to arrive clean and final sanitizing before use will be left up to the buyer's discretion. Container was tested for leaks - filled with water for several hours and does not appear to leak. Blade Agitator Assembly and Retainer Nut were only tightened by hand and will need to be tightened with a Retainer Nut Wrench (not included, sold separately) for best results prior to use. Screws to mount the cover to the back of motor base are not included. Please refer to all pictures of actual products you will receive for a complete description of condition and ask all questions prior to bidding/buying.
