description offered in this auction is an original diamond chair designed by harry bertoia and made by knoll. the chair comes with the original vinyl seat cushion. the wire frame is white and the base is black. harry bertoia's 1950 experiment with bending metal rods into practical art produced a revered collection of seating, including this exquisite diamond chair. innovative, comfortable and strikingly handsome, the chair's delicate filigree appearance belies its strength and durability. overall a classic, modern design that enhances any environment.

condition the chair is in good but not perfect condition. some wires at the front seem to be repaired and touched up (please see pictures). due to age and use the chair shows also some normal scratches, marks and light scuffs. the base shows some rust (please see pictures). the foam is old and porous. the vinyl is in good condition, but has one small nick (please see pictures). the plastic feet are missing.
