Up for auction is an Acoustic Control Corp. model 260 guitar, bass and keyboard amplifier from 1970-1971 (first generation). This head is LOUD and charging through any 2x12 or 4x12 it screams with tube like tone. As you can see from the photos this Acoustic 2600 amplifier in overall decent condition for its age.

I have used this amplifier with mostly bass, however it sounds just as good with guitar. This IS the same model that Robby Krieger of the doors played through, as well as the same company name that ALL of those who need be mentioned played through in the late 60's and early 70's.

I just recently has this serviced and various capacitors and inners were replaced to get this thing back up and running. I also had a three (3) prong power chord installed so there wouldn't concern of grounding and polarity. The first input channel (top) is a bit lower than the bottom, when at lower volumes, however once you turn the dial up the volume is comparable. I used this amplifier on the second input channel (bottom) for the most part, because I didn't need the Reverb, Tremolo or Fuzz for my application. The second channel has a bit more bass, while the first seems to be leaning on the treble side. I am unsure why that is, however this sounds very similar to both of my 150's.

This amplifier has the original knobs and hardware.

I hate to see this go, but I don't have much room for it anymore as I found myself a different bass amplifier.

Here is a breakdown of its features below:
