A very rare tankard A Powell, Bishop & Stonier earthenware Truly amazing item Antique tankard/jug On the front depicting a sheep and insribed around it is the words SHELF OLD FOLKS TREAT in a circle around the sheep 1885-1935 On the back inscribed words Make new friends but keep the Old Those are silver, these are gold Brows may wrinkle Hair grow grey But friendship never knows decay Magical words Scroll around the bottom is raised flowers Treacle brown lustre speckled Handle and around the top is edged in a silver tone worn on the handle with use and age which adds to character of the tankard There is no cracks or damage Quality piece I have seen this tankard listed in antique books I always try to charge the correct postage I do not look to profit from postage Posting is expensive - where possible I go for 1st class Royal mail to get items there faster I have and do refund any excessive posted charges if I get it wrong Sometimes with large items I will try other couriers to try to get the posting cheaper. When I am posting delicate items I prefer special delivery as this may be slightly more but safer and quick.
