Danelectro ’59 Reissue Baritone (Bass)/ 6 Guitar Doubleneck– new condition

Extremely rare, especially in this condition.

Yup...the last of my Danos in storage..

This is the ’59 reissue made between ’98 and 2k1 or so.

This was made while Danelectro was still manufacturing in Korea...before they retooled into China-mode. And so, a major difference between the Korean and the China models...is the distinct sparkle finish!

I get the feeling that to accomplish that in the new factory would have been cost prohibited...at least that’s my take on it.

So, this is the last of the breed...especially in the new condition this instrument is still in....

This guitar would make Chuck Berry and Jimi Hendrix proud...stored in Mickey’s gunny sack....

Ok...as far as the instrument is concerned.....

It’s a double neck, one side being a Baritone configuration, strung as a Jet Bass!!! So, you can really get down with it...and play REAL bass sounds...but in a 6 string way...very handy AND musical.

And the guitar neck is no slouch, either....real Dano lipstick pickup sounding riffs, leads and chords!!

Oh, and by the way, this instrument has 2 pickups per neck, unlike the ’59 original that had only one each....and so, you can dial in your sounds with the concentric  volume and tone controls...2 volume and 2 tone in the physical space of 1 each...real neat.

So...you get the 2 PU’s per neck, 2 volume and 2 tone controls...fabulous blue sparkle finish NO LONGER being reissued out of China.....

All in all, a real nice package!
