Coles Models "Challenger" Miniature V-8 Engine Casting kit with engine drawings, Carburetor drawings, Blower conversion drawings (no castings for blower included), 2 finished carburetors, 4 gears,4 seals,2 bearings, test stand, 14 piston rings and some extra castings. This kit is missing the water pump cover, which can easily be made from aluminum bar stock and 2 of the cast iron cylinder sleeves. The Challenger is an eight cylinder, 90 degree V-8 engine with a four stroke in the block. It has 103 cc displacement with a water cooling system. The Challenger is a man sized project and a hard to beat power model when completed. The engine has an aluminum block with pressed fit cast iron liners. The engine is water cooled by a pump driven off the crankshaft allowing different ratios to requirements as needed. The oil system is pressure fed by a displacement piston pump. The crankshaft is a flat design, hollow drilled for oil feed. Intake and exhaust manifolds are cored to accommodate multiple carburetors if desired.
