It was designed by Frederick Daws and issued between 1931 and 1968. The Charlton Standard Catalogue of Royal Doulton Animals value is published as $550.00. This piece is in excellent estate condition with a few things to note. There is a 1/16 inch long scratch on his right side saddle; there is a pin hole size fleabite under the glaze on his left ear; there are two side by side pin hole size glaze rubs on the right side saddle. We mention all this for complete accuracy, but they are all tiny and do not detract from the piece. Please check the photos. He sits 6 3/4 inches tall and just over 7 inches across. A Few Words about Your Purchase

If you have any questions please send us an email and ASK BEFORE YOU BUY OR BID.

A Word about Shipping

Buyer pays shipping, handling and insurance unless we specify free shipping. Your purchase will be shipped promptly after receipt of payment. Delivery arrives traditionally within 3-7 business days. When flat rate shipping is offered it applies only to the continental 48 states, and shipping is higher to AK, HI, and PR. Tracking information is supposed to be provided automatically. If you don’t receive it let us know.

A Word about Condition

Over their lifetimes some estate items may be exposed to cigarette smoke, light, dust, handling, etc., and older items can understandably show the markings of time. We try to be as accurate as possible when describing condition. Sometimes we might miss something, but we try our very best to be thorough.

A Word about Insurance

We ship all items insured for your protection. If a package arrives with obvious signs of physical damage (crumpled sides or a puncture, for instance) please inform the delivery person immediately when it arrives and contact us before you open it.

A Word about International Sales

International buyers are responsible for all local customs fees, duties, and taxes. These costs are not included in our shipping charges and we don’t know how to calculate them for you. We declare all items at their actual sales price on customs forms. Because gifts are uninsurable we do not declare any item as a “gift.”
