A used genuine Ford item to suit the 'English' axle as found in Mk1/ Mk2 Escorts, Anglias, 4cyl Mk1 Capris & early Cortinas.

The diff is currently fitted with a large pinion flange with threaded bolt-holes, the type that you'd find on a Mk2 Escort. Some other small Ford models may share this flange but you'd have to find out for yourself if it suits your's. . .otherwise, it's as easy as swapping pinion flanges for the right one.

This is a locked diff, as in the planetary / sun gears have been welded up to lock the diff. . . in other words, a 'CIG Locker'. I have no idea what the bearing condition is like as this came with an axle housing I bought recently.

The Crown wheel & Pinion are in good condition, though whoever performed the welding melted the inside edge of one of the crown wheel teeth by the looks of things (see pictures below).

However, the diff still turns over freely & feels smooth in it's operation, so it's not a problem.
