Originally an XP machine, this unit has been updated with Windows Business Vista, by utilizing the FACTORY Restore Disc's.
The good side to doing this is the system is tailored to the laptop. The bad side to doing this is you wind up with all the extra garbage programs that Lenovo thinks you need. I have left all of the extra programs loaded for you to delete as you see fit. I have deleted Norton Anti-Virus, because it was hopelessly out of date. Recovery Partition is intact!
