These Herm Sprenger Stainless steel fur saver dog training collars come in two sizes of wire thickness 3mm and 4mm.
3mm thickness works for the dogs up to 65-70lbs.
4mm thickness works for the dogs best on dogs over 70 lbs.
Please keep in mind that 4mm chains are a lot thicker and heavier than 3mm.
Please Note: All measurements go from End tip of O ring to the other End tip of O ring.
How to measure your dog:
Please measure dog's neck and add 2"-2.5" inches for large dogs and approximately 1.5" for smaller dogs. Fur saver and choke chains have to be able to slide over dog's head and ears. Fur saver and choke chains cannot be adjusted, that is why it is very important for them to fit properly. Some breeds have (ex. English Bulldog) their head a lot larger than their necks, in this case chain has to be long enough to slide over dog's head. Please keep in mind that Herm Sprenger collars are manufactured in Germany and initial length is measured in centimeters, during conversion from CM to INCHES measurements are rounded to the nearest inch. We use measurements in descriptions that are displayed on Herm Sprenger factory tags.
