1999 Lancia Kappa Coupe 2.0ltr Turbo.
Welcome to this auction of a very rare b
east, just 3226 Kappa Coupes were built with some 1933 versions being fitted with the 5 cylinder 2.0ltr engine (not all of these were turbos).
Never officially imported into the UK,the Kappa was the large, luxury saloon produced to replace the Lancia Thema, during the 1990's.As such, this is a very rare car to the UK.

In metallic,Energy blue, with lovely Panna (cream),full leather interior, our car is the top of the range model, fully loaded, with the following extras....
Electric windows
Electric mirrors
Electric sunroof
Factory fitted Sat Nav
Air con (requires re-gassing)
CD auto changer
Electric,heated seats.

As previously stated, this is a 2 owner car from new,the last purchasing it from Germany at just 2 years old.It comes with a very impressive and complete history file with two folders worth of bills & receipts,a fully stamped service book, mot certificates and tax discs. It also comes with the original handbooks in English and reproductions of the full, factory workshop manuals, also in English.

The car is being sold as a very interesting project, having recently failed it's mot,(nothing major though) and having an intermittent electrical issue that will require sorting. The rarity of these cars has now brought them to the turning point of interest, this is on the increase and values are now rising, just take a look on some of the European websites. This is a car well worth the relatively small effort it should take to get it back on the road,so you can enjoy a stylish, very rare car that should be a good investment.

Condition.
Overall condition is good, the interior is in super condition, with no major signs of wear to the leather and all other fixtures & fittings present & correct and in excellent condition. All electrical items work as they should, including the windows & sunroof.
The bodywork is tidy but not perfect, there are some marks and the odd dings/imperfections and some detailing items such as the bonnet badge have faded.
Importantly it will require welding work to the offside sill, plus a couple of small repairs underneath to the suspension crossmember.None of the welding work required would concern a competent welder.Obviously we would recommend an inspection to be sure of condition.

As intimated earlier, the car currently has an intermittent starting issue, sometimes it will start, sometimes it won't!Once warmed up fully it seems to be less of an issue. The vehicle was off the road for about 1 year, before which, all was fine, then it developed the fault,it's definitely an electrical issue and may be a crank sensor problem, but I'm afraid we don't have the time to spend on this particular car to sort the issue,so it's being sold as is.
This aside, when she starts, she runs well as a 70 mile journey I undertook in it has proven.
Mileage is circa 114k miles.

Summary
This is an interesting little project that could see you with a rare and quick Italian Coupe. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, either by email or by calling 07813394167 and any inspections are welcome, including the use of our ramp to check underneath.

Many thanks for looking
