Vintage 1963 Vespa 150S Mk1, in British Racing Green, almost entirely original, standard and in excellent condition.

Manufactured in Spain by Moto-Vespa in August 1963 and first registered in UK in June 2015.
Perfect working condition and almost entirely original, which is why I bought this particular scooter, as original engine and undamaged body are almost impossible to find. There are only a few minor after-market parts, like the kick start lever, side mirror and perhaps the bench seat. Engine is all original piston-ported (V201M) and runs perfectly. Body (VTT) is all original, no rust or repairs anywhere, including on floorboards, which again is hard to find. Only some small chips to paint just below horn on the front.

Stored in a garage in London since import.
A true collector's piece with beautiful curves, great sound and loads of fun to ride!

I bought this scooter from the original owner, who brought it to the UK in June 2015. It came with a new paint job, wiring harness, wheels and tyres. I added very few and only cosmetic items: new Vespa grips, stainless steel Front bumper, stainless steel side guards with foot rest, stainless steel legshield guards, and stainless steel folding luggage back rack. I also bought double (2x) saddle seats (see one of the pictures). All of these are included in sale so you decide what you think looks best.

The only thing that doesn't work is the speedo, which I never replaced because I loved the original and the fact that it's all over the place while riding - a good reminder that this scooter is 54 years old and all original! However, I do have an almost identical brand new after-market one that I never installed and am happy to include.

This is a Mk1 Moto-Vespa150S, which came standard with a round headlight and square GS150 type speedo. Glovebox is a fixed panel type, as VNB/VBB. 10" wheel as standard. Front mudguard is also similar to GS150, a one-piece pressing. The Mk1 was produced from 1961-1963 and originally came in Silver. The previous owner took this scooter down to bare metal and painted it the current green metallic.

This is a historic scooter, so no tax to pay but it is currently SORN. It was MOT'd when I bought it last summer but since I only used it 5-6 sunny days since buying it last summer, I decided not to renew the MOT or insurance and have it SORN. I've only put 87 Km (54 miles) on it and I have the previous V5 to prove this.

I'm not a dealer and I don't sell on ebay in my spare time. I have a full-time job and no time to waste, so please don't bid unless you're prepared to buy. I'm happy to show this scooter in London. It's kept in a garage in Belsize Park (NW3). Call Ivan on 07917 130 738 for more information or to view.
