And now for something completely different: The Duck.
The Duck is Big and mean. She is the biggest manufactured thumper ever. She has a beak, which is for pointing at the sky whilst torque wheeling. She has a set of excellent offroad tyres for when you are skilled/experienced/bonkers (delete as appropriate) to venture off the beaten track. She has brand new stainless Dominator exhaust which is as loud as the hell itself. When I put that can on and fired her up, the birds stopped flying over my garden and hid in the countryside. So I've ordered a removable baffle from the Dominator's manufacturer to take the edge of it (it's in the post and I think it's not really effective...) The Duck has been fitted with Acerbis handguards, braided front brake line, heated grips, 12 Volt power socket and pannier racks, which are very sturdy. There is no panniers but the racks are strong enough to protect the mini dark indicators when you drop this bike whilst showing off in the dirt. No, I'm not saying you're crap - I'm just saying that The Duck's weight is 220 kg wet, that's not exactly like DR 350 or WR 250. So it is likely that The Duck will go horizontal at some point if taken offroad. For a 1993 girl, The Duck is in very good condition. She is displying 34000 kilometers and I assume it's true. Passed MOT with one small advisory regarding "slightly worn rear sprocket". She has been optically modified and looks like nothing else. Try to google up "DR 800 Duck" and I'm sure you will not find any other DR 800 like her. The Duck can be viewed and heard (not in the evenings, children would wake up crying, unless that baffle arrives swiftly...), for that you are invited to come and visit sunny Llandovery, famous for two bikers meeting points, West End Cafe and Owl's Nest Tea Rooms.
