For sale here is a very rare, desirable and valuable Daimler DB18 Consort of which only a few seem to still be on our roads.

These cars are becoming highly collectable and very rarely come onto the open market so when they do they tend to get snapped up and for good prices as well. Most seem to loiter around the £15,000 mark.

She was fully restored (ground up, engine and body) back in 1991 and still seems to start and run fine. That said, she has only ever been driven around the farm so a thorough service/examination I feel would be prudent before returning to the open roads.

She still looks good and is fundamentally still very solid with just a wonderful all over `used` patina to both body, paint and interior. Her overall appearance is still very appealing but as she has been regularly used over the years please do expect body and paint imperfections/deterioration here and there. Nothing that takes away from her overall beauty in my opinion, and could easily be used as-is with pride, but if perfection is your ultimate goal then you `may` wish to attend to these imperfections. I love her exactly the way she is and I would not touch her or change a bean but it`s only right and honest I mention the body/paint imperfections (mainly scuffs and under-paint bubbling) as they may be important to you.

So in summary this is a beautiful looking, rare and valuable Daimler DB18 Consort that has not been on the open market for quite some time. The engine sounds healthy and the pre-select gearbox seem to select all gears fine. The overall appearance is still very appealing to all bar the perfectionist and pedantic who may wish to spruce her up if they do indeed wish to downgrade her to a trailer queen… J

In my opinion there is not much wrong with this car but it is nigh-on impossible to list every minute detail, so please feel free to ask as many questions as you feel necessary to satisfy yourself as to what you are bidding on.  Alternatively, you are also welcome to come and view for yourself as this is a live auction.

We have been trading successfully on eBay for many years and are not your typical miserable/moody and rude traders.

We are a small family run business who care about our customers, whether buying or selling.

We do our best to greet with a handshake and leave with a handshake. This said, we are not looking for buyers that do not understand the very nature of the beast when it comes to classic cars. If you think they all drive like your 2017 BMW – they do not. If you think they are ultra-reliable and will never let you down – you`re wrong. If you are of the nature/character to want to return a car after taking her away just because the starter motor has let you down – please move on. If your local politician, Citizen`s Advice Bureau and/or Trading Standards are your best buddies – Please move on.  But, If you`re a realist that understand the joy of keeping a classic car on the roads, enjoy the looks and characteristics of a classic car, can handle the regular compliments and admiring glances regularly received, enjoy a beautiful asset going up in value every year you maintain her, and/or you just love to mingle and chat with likeminded people down the pub (or at summer shows) – then this (and classic cars) is most definitely for you…!!! :-D

Whether buying or selling please feel free to put us to the test.

Our Terms and Conditions

Winning bidder to pay £500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal or direct bank transfer within 24 hrs of auction/advert end.  Deposit `MUST` be paid PRIOR to collection!! This request has been put in place purely to deter day-trippers, hagglers, re-negotiators and winning bidders who feel by their winning of the auction just puts them in the privileged position of having first refusal with the `option` to buy!!

Storage of bought vehicles is free for 2 weeks and then charged @ £75 per week paid in advance.

Due to the very nature of older vehicles and their vulnerability to long term storage, all vehicles are sold under the advisory and assumption that a comprehensive service and/or overhaul of all fluids, brakes, rubbers, running gear, clutches, pipes, mechanicals and electrics could possibly be needed – whether showing a current MOT certificate or not. For this reason it is advised that all vehicles are trailered home as opposed to driven.

This is a live auction meaning all vehicles are here to be viewed and encouraged to be viewed and will be sold to the buyer under the mutually agreed terms at the point of viewing.

Vehicles bought without prior agreement and without being viewed first are sold on a Trade basis. By bidding/winning/agreeing a sale on a vehicle prior to viewing you are agreeing to the following terms;

As this is a live public auction of a second-hand item whereby the buyer is free to come and view, the purchaser (or their agent) is not dealing as a consumer for the purpose of the Consumer Rights Act 2015/Sale of Goods Act 1979 in relation to any vehicle sold by the seller.

Implied terms as to satisfactory quality/fitness for purpose do not apply to any transaction between the purchaser and the seller.

All components on any vehicle sold by the seller is the purchaser's sole responsibility to make sure are safe to use to the end consumer.

No liability or responsibility is accepted by the seller for any injury, illness, damage, loss, accident, expense, or any other claim arising from any fault with any component of any vehicle sold to the purchaser.

All descriptions are for identification purposes only and the seller shall not be responsible for errors of description.

All vehicles are sold as seen – spares and/or repair – no returns – no warranties. (Please note our complimentary 14 day Returns Policy)

All vehicles remain the property of Classic Cars & Campers until paid for in full unless otherwise agreed.

Classic Cars & Campers reserve the right to legally pursue any non-paying bidder/purchaser, or anyone else who refuses to adhere to our terms and conditions, if their actions are determined by us to be detrimental to our financial position.
