You are bidding on the actual item pictured which I have spent countless hours carving, staining & polishing out of beef bone. Hook point is not that miss-aligned) This is a very unique pendant which features a Tahitian styled tiki, Ta'aroa a.k.a. The God of the Seas, carved as the shank of a traditional Polynesian fish hook. In Polynesia, the fish hook as a pendant brings the bearer good fortune, prosperity and safe passage. The design also features as a reversible with one plain hook side & the other with Tahitian style tattoo motifs which were carved out & stained. Be the envy of your friends or strangers at your local mai tai bar when they catch a glimpse of this 3 1/8" x 1 5/8"(80mm x42mm) which is hard to miss, not because of it's size but because of it's unique look. It is lashed onto a 6-plait hand braided heavy duty nylon necklace which measures 21.5"(54.5cm) incorporating a toggle & loop clasp system. The necklace is non-adjustable. Although some of the individual designs incorporated are traditional, I claim to be the artist of the composition of this piece, which has been originally designed by myself.
