I'm selling my rare 1993 Japanese Fender TLAC-100 Thinline Telecaster Electric/acoustic hybrid guitar. It is in Black nitro with cream binding. It has a solid spruce top with mahogony back and sides, maple neck with rosewood fretboard. It has a Lace Burton Silver (USA) pickup with a under saddle piezo for acoustic sounds. This has the ability to play standard sparkly tele sounds through to warm acoustic sounds and a blend of the two, which makes it such a versatile guitar. No more changing guitars mid set, just turn the active blend knob to change between tele and acoustic sounds in seconds! There are 3 knobs, volume, Balance and TBX Blend which blends the single coil and Piezo.
It is in excellent condition for year with very minor buckle rash on the back and has a crack in the nitro finish near the neck joint. This was like it when I bought it 10years ago and has been checked by a local Fender dealer who says its just the lacquer not the wood and is common in these hollow body thin lines. It has a micro adjustable neck joint and has been professionally setup with low action and plays amazing. I am reluctant to sell such a rare guitar, but I am downsizing my collection and this is hardly played now I have moved to acoustic sets only. This comes with its original fitted case and strap which are in excellent condition. Please bear in mind this guitar has been used so has small imperfections not described from age and use (it is a 20 year old guitar)!! Same guitar as used by Steve Winwood and also Richie Blackmore used one in Blackmore's Nights. I have had two valuations and have priced it accordingly, but you are welcome to make me an offer.
