♥ DESCRIPTION: A stunning, rare to find vintage, navy blue with pale blue & green floral print, pure light lawn cotton, sailor dress by Laura Ashley, with bold & distinctive styling ~ featuring a wide rectangular collar which comes inwards into points below the neckline, with two strips of blue braid running around the edge of the collar in traditional sailor style & with a triangular insert of matching floral print cotton between the collar creating the neckline ~ silky navy blue ribbon tied in a bow beneath the neckline ~ bodice with waist seam for definition ~ full, floaty skirt with tighter pleats at top & looser pleats as you go down (you can iron in the pleats tightly all the way down if you choose, either way, tighter or looser, this dress looks FABULOUS!) ~ & short sleeves with turned up cuffs and with slightly gathered 'puff' at top. ~
The back is stunning also ~ with the back of the 'sailor' collar, edged in blue braid skimming across the top of the back ~ with a long concealed zip down the back for fastening ~ & the floaty, elegant pleated skirt. ~ Depending on your height, this dress is mid-length to long ~ please check measurements below...
This dress is just ABSOLUTELY gorgeous ~ So rare to find in this stunning and very Summery floral print! ~ Beautifully tailored! ~ Looks fabulous worn with everything, from opaque tights & heels, to bare legs and high heel sandals ~ just add a big hat for a wedding ~ add a big woollen cardi for an evening walking barefoot along the beach ~ or doll it right up for a night out with red shoes and bright red lipstick a la 1940s wartime style...Gorgeous!!!
