As a huge Discworld books fan and so sad for the loss of Sir Terry, I'm going to donate 80% of the sale price of this Discworld-inspired "Tiffany Aching" doll to the Terry-Pratchett Justgiving collection set up by Lynsey Dalladay in aid of RICE (Research Institute for the Care of Older People). The remaining 20% will go towards listing and payment fees, with hopefully enough left to cover recorded delivery anywhere in the world (limited to our own world, unless Royal Mail has a deal with Moist von Lipwig's infamous Ankh-Morpork Post Office). Any remainder will go towards making future charity dolls.
Tiffany is a new Monster High Cleo de Nile body, with a new brunette 4Ever Punx green vinyl Frankenstein's girl head (see pic 12). I've given her a complete acrylic/pastel repaint, and fixed with Mr Hobby Super Clear matt model acrylic fixative spray. She's very secure on her articulated body with no changes to to the original MH neck adapter, and has the full range of head/neck movement. Her clothes are also made by me from scratch, including knitted grey woolly underthings as Granny Weatherwax would approve of (although perhaps she wouldn't approve of bare knees, I decided that joint mobility was as important as modesty), black knitted boot covers over the unavoidable MH high-heel feet shoes - painted black by me - a long dress with attached pinafore and popper fastening to the back, which in my imagination represents her best 'before witchcraft' dress, plus the fully-qualified black cape and felt hat (hat sewn by hand). (In the best witches' tradition, the main fabrics are recycled vintage, and the new felt is from recycling sources). Her cape has the clacks message 'GNU TERRY PRATCHETT' embroidered on the inside hem. I then made a Fimo/Sculpey 'cast iron' style frying pan complete with imprint of wayward Nac Mac Feegle, highlighted and varnished with acrylics. A doll stand and hairbrush is included, and she will be sent padded and boxed. She's suitable for display to watch over your books, and for younger doll/Discworld fans - although I think the frying pan will come with instructions stating that it can only handle one misbehaving Nac Mac Feegle/other random beastie at a time ;) The auction winner will be sent proof of charity donation on confirmation of the safe and satisfactory receipt of their doll.
