Tafelklavier William Howards
London ca. 1810 - 1815

 Beschreibung:
Regency Tafelklavier der Firma William Howards aus London um 1810 - 1815, in unrestauriertem Zustand. Der Korpus ist aus Mahagoni mit mehrfarbigen Intarsien verziert, an vielen Stellen ist Furnier gebrochen oder fehlt, kleine Deckelklappe gerissen, Schubladen unter dem Korpusboden beschädigt und teilweise nicht vollständig. Das Vorsatzbrett ist opulent mit Girlanden, Blumen, Ranken, Wappen und Tieren mehrfarbig bemalt. In einem Oval befindet sich die Signatur:
"W. Howards Bridge – road / Lambeth / London"
Originale Tastatur, belederte Hammerköpfe, originale Stimmwirbel, Risse im Resonanzboden, Einzeldämpfer. Die Hämmerchen wurde bereits ausgebaut, ebenfalls die Besaitung abgenommen und vermessen (Plan der originalen Besaitung liegt bei). Das Instrument steht auf 6 originalen gedrechselten Beinen mit Holzgewinde (teilweise beschädigt – siehe Bilder) und Messingrollen, sowie den originalen Bronzeringen zur Verzierung. Das Instrument benötigt eine komplette Restauration!

Description:
Regency square piano made by William Howards in London around 1810 - 1815 in unrestored condition. The case is made in mahogany with inlays and rosewood, many parts of the veneer are damaged or missing and the drawers are damaged. The nameboard is painted with flowers and animals and in an nicely painted oval you read the inscription:
"W. Howards Bridge – road / Lambeth / London"
Original keyboard and hammers, hammer-coverings (leather), original tuning pins, some cracks in the soundboard, single dampers. The instrument comes with a stringing plan of the original strings. The Instrument rests on 6 turned legs (partly damaged – see pictures) with brass roles and bronze applications at the top. The instrument is in need of full restoration!
