Be The Belle Of The Ball In This One Of A Kind Gown I made this gown for myself for a Mystery Party I am 5' 6" tall Bust 41" Waist 34.5 Hips--?? (doesn't matter) This gown was made to be worn over a full hoop slip so it will drag on the floor like you see in the pictures at my height if you do not put a slip under it. Slip NOT included I wore this dress for approx 4 hours Sat night on a clean carpeted floor. I have a degree in apparel design so this dress was made without a pattern on my dress form using materials I had on hand. It is truly an Original Design There is a little piecing here and there to make my design work which is only noticeable if you are looking for it. The sheer puffy sleeve was an after thought, they are attached by hand and can easily be removed and the dress worn without them. The bodice is faced, not lined and not all seams are finished. (sorry really hadn't thought about selling it when I made it.) This dress was not intended to be "period correct" It has some Rococo element but the cut is for a full Civil War "Southern Belle" hoop slip You might just say that the poor Southern Belle remade grandma's French gown for the Ball :-) Please Note: I live and work in a pet friendly environment!
