This item was free hand turned on a wood lathe by me, Joshua Andra, without the use of patterns or duplicating equipment. Every piece I make is a one-of-a-kind. I use strong, hard woods. I never use any dyes or colorants. The natural beauty of the woods speak for themselves.

African Blackwood is a stunning and very hard wood native to sub-Saharan Africa. Blackwood is a true member of the (Dalbergia) rosewood genus.

My shawl pins each measure approximately 4 inches in length by 3/8 of an inch in diameter. Sizes vary slightly, and are often slightly smaller in diameter than 3/8.
