As many of you know, almost all of the marbles I sell on EBay are my own; however, for the next few weeks all listings will be consignment auctions for a large inherited collection. Thank you all very much for your bids.
Here is something you don't see every day: oxblood bricks being sold in a group. I believe these are all M.F. Christensen, but there may be a couple of Akros in there. All have damage of one sort or another and would probably make a good polishing project for someone, especially since in many cases, polishing will reveal a better pattern beneath the surface than there is on the original version, and contrary to most machine made marbles, increase their value with polishing. CONDITION: GOOD(+) 7.7 to NEAR MINT(-) 8.3 These guys have all seen a good deal of use. There are a couple that seem alright in hand but won't stand up to close inspection where thin surface hairline fractures show themselves. You may click here to view the grading system I use. |
