I aquired these items through a purchase from Mr. Barngrover's son.  The items history is as told to me from him (his son).  Mr. Barngrover worked for North American Rockwell, Space Division.  He worked on several missions in the Apollo series.  Including the famous Apollo 11 (as you can see) and Apollo 10 (the one that circled the moon).  I have a window screw from that mission for sale in another listing.  This Certificate and Award was given to the members who worked on the Apollo 11 mission. The badge is not for sale.  It is pictured for authenticity purpose's.   You are buying the Certificate and Medallion only!  The items were passed onto Mr. Barngrover's son after his passing.  He sold them to me about 1 year ago.

The Medallion reads:  This Medallion contains metal from spacecrafts Columbia and Eagle, that took Astronauts Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins on their historic Apollo 11 mission that resulted in the first landing of man on the moon.

The Medallion weighs 11 grams.  It is in a plastic protective case.

The Apollo Acheivement Award reads:  In appreciation of dedicated service to the nation as a member of the team which has advanced the nation's capabilities in aeronautics and space and demonstrated them in many outstanding accomplishment's culminating in Apolo 11's successful achievememt of man's first landing on the moon, July 20, 1969.

The document has two small tears in it.  One is on the left side.  The other is at the bottom about mid-left center.  It is made of heavy paper and Mr. Barngrover's name is on it.  I keep it in a plastic sheeth.  It did not come that with one.
