It has come to our attention that there are IMITATORS, KNOCK-OFFS, and COPY CATS (actually, former customers of Keiki Power Pro!) selling their own formulations of Keiki Cloning Paste.
As keen orchid growers, you should know that the active ingredient (the cytokinin) is INSOLUBLE (i.e., CANNOT DISSOLVE) in the ointment base without a SPECIAL CHEMICAL STEP! If you simply mix the active powder straight into the ointment base, you WILL NOT EVENLY DISPERSE the crystals of the active in your mixture. You will ALWAYS have clumps of crystals in parts of your mixture (the scientific term for this is "non-homegenous mix" -- trust me, we have a Ph.D. on staff formulating this, and we know this from experience). So when you, the excited orchid cloner, go to apply a knock-off imitator paste, you may get a dab of paste that has WAY TOO MUCH active or NOT ENOUGH, giving you undesired results.

KEIKI POWER PRO lets you grow new keikis (i.e., new baby plants) from your orchids!
By applying KEIKI POWER PRO to your Phalaenopsis, Dendrobiums, and other orchids, the active ingredient will stimulate growth of a new plant. When the new keiki is big enough, you can transplant it and you will have an identical clone of your mother plant!

To apply to Dendrobiums, Cattleyas, Oncidiums, or other orchid types with pseudobulbs, you can apply it to the internodes on the pseudobulbs (Dendrobiums), at the base of the bulbs, or at the apex of the pseudobulb between the topmost leaves. Look for the "eyes" on your orchid plant where new growths or flower spikes emerge typically emerge.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
KEIKI POWER PRO is based on plant science. All plants respond to biochemical signals which cause the plant to do various things, such as grow more leaves, extend roots, or grow new keikis. The active ingredient in KEIKI POWER PRO is a substance that tells the plant to produce a new keiki. With KEIKI POWER PRO, the keiki-inducing active ingredient is concentrated at one location. The paste itself that carries the active is water repellent, meaning that the active is kept where it is needed and you can water normally. (Reapplications may be necessary.)
WHY SHOULD I USE IT?
If you have a plant that you really care about, making a keiki from it is a great way to ensure that you have a "backup" plant, just in case your main plant gets infected or dies. A small keiki from a prized plant makes a wonderful gift as well. Making keikis is also a great way to expand your collection -- you can trade or sell your keikis. WILL IT HURT MY ORCHID?
No. At least it won't if used properly. Here's an example of IMPROPER use: If you smear KEIKI POWER PRO over your whole plant, you will be sure to confuse it biochemically, and results will be unpredictable. KEIKI POWER PRO is strong stuff -- a little dab is all you need! It is best not to use it on plants that are too small, however, since you don't want to drain your plant of energy that it might need to grow. (I know, I know... Sometimes you don't have a choice.)
HOW DO I KNOW IT WILL WORK?
Since this is biology, and living things often behave unpredictably (good examples: cats, humans, orchids), there are no guarantees that it will work. The science on which KEIKI POWER PRO is well understood and has been supported by lab research as well as experiments in the field, but some orchid types will respond better than others. Certain cultivars of, say, Phalaenopsis (just an example), will respond more readily to KPP than other cultivars. The condition of your plant may also affect your results. For example, a plant that has been stressed too long or is already near death may be too far gone to save, unfortunately. But orchids are remarkably resilient, and it may be worth trying, especially if the plant is an important one.

In general, a few weeks. Your results will depend on the type of orchid, condition of the plant, season, growth environment, etc.
WILL IT WORK ON OTHER NON-ORCHID PLANTS?
The active ingredient is based on plant science, so it has a good chance of working on other types of plants, such as African Violets, tomatoes, anthuriums, and other house plants.

KPP is formulated in the United States to exact specifications by professional scientist(s). It is shipped from the USA, so if you are in the US, you should receive it within few days. No need to worry about your order coming from overseas where the mail service can be even less reliable than the USPS (hard to believe, I know), not to mention delay or confiscation by Customs.
