Ancient Egyptian  Limestone Relief Panel with Priest Egypt - Late Period, ca. 700-30 B.C.

Size: 10-1/4” x 9-1/4”. (26 x 23.5 cm)

Description: Section of a limestone stele with the image of the upper half of a priest holding both graceful hands in front reverently.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Carved in sunk relief with partial remnants of hieroglyphic inscription at the left edge. Lower fragment reattached, running through priest’s left shoulder and forearm.                                                                                                                                                                              Some paint loss and rough edges. Mounted on a burl wood base.
