Edith Head was one of the premiere Hollywood costume designers of all times. Her career spanned 50 years with over 1200 screen credits, 35 Academy Award nominations and eight Oscars.

In 1998 Universal Studios and Knickerbocker partnered with former Bill Blass designer turned doll designer Robert Tonner to create a series of 16" porcelain dolls

This doll portrays Mae West as she appeared as "Lady Lou" in the 1933 film She Done Him Wrong. She is a limited edition and is hand numbered #958.

Lady Lou is dressed in black velvet, trimmed with with silver embroidery and rhinestones. Her accessories include a rhinestone-studded walking stick, black feather boa and hat. Lady Lou was a nominee for the 1998 Dolls Award for Excellence.
