~ Beswick Pig Promenade Band Set ~
A set of a Beswick produced collection entitled "Pig Promenade Band". The figures are in the form of pigs playing different instruments that would be found within a promenade band. Each prominent breed of pig was represented in the set. They are beautifully turned out in their smart waistcoats and were each produced in limited quantities of 2000.
This collection is comprised of nine of the figures from the collection:

- PP3: David (Flutist)
- PP4: Andrew (Cymbalist)
- PP5: Daniel (Violinist)
- PP6: Michael (Bass Drummer)
- PP7: James (Triangle)

- PP9: Christopher (Guitar)
The figurines are in their original boxes except for PP7 (James).
The backstamps read "Beswick England" with a PP number and pig name as appropriate.
All 9 are included, James was discovered after we photographed the first 8!

- PP1 John (Conductor): The figurine has a width of 2 inches (5 cm), a depth of 2 inches (5 cm) and a height of 4.7 inches (12 cm). The box has a width of 6.5 inches (16.5 cm), a depth of 6 inches (15.2 cm) and a height of 3 inches (7.6 cm). It weighs 160 g.
- PP2: Matthew (Trumpeter): The figurine has a width of 2 inches (5 cm), a depth of 4 inches (10.2 cm) and a height of 6 inches (15.2 cm). The box has a width of 8.5 inches (21.5 cm), a depth of 5 inches (12.6 cm) and a height of 3 inches (7.6 cm). It weighs 210 g.

~ Condition ~
The figures are in complete and great condition, no chips, though the French Horn has become detached from Richard's grip, James does not have a stick to hit the triangle & the flute has been reattached to David. The eight boxes are in good order.
