~ WW1 German Imperial Army Traveling Ink Well ~
This is a white metal, part leather coated piece with a spring loaded lid (push button on front) that exposes a secure sealed top having the engraved Imperial Eagle. Inside is the original removable glass ink bottle.
~ Dimensions ~
The ink well measures 1.5 inches (3.75 cm) in height with a diameter of 1.75 inches (4.5 cm). It weighs 63 g.
~ Condition ~
The ink well is in very good condition for its age and type. The spring loaded lid works well and the lid shuts tight. The exterior is scratched and stained and the interior has the remains old ink all over the place. The Imperial Eagle engraving is clear. The glass bottle is chip free.
