NO RESERVE. I need the space so this is a rare opportunity to get into historic racing for pennies!

1963 Renault Caravelle.

This car was well known on the West Coast on the USA. It was imported in 2013. As far as I can ascertain this is the only Caravelle historic racer out there. Since I have had it a lot of work has been done on it to bring up to UK historic standard. The previous owner had put the rad in the front, which ruins the unique look of the car.

The previous owner put the rad in the front, probably because it’s a lot hotter on the West Coast. I have had the rad put back to the rear,  and the bodywork made good with new paint.

I also had a new roll cage fitted so the car can run with a hardtop. In the US it ran as an open car, and didn't look as good as it does now.

The 1300cc engine has been completely rebuilt by Robin Slater of Radco Engineering, who is well known for building quick engines. New pistons, valves, etc and it also has a Weber fitted. The engine is zero time.

All that is required is new belts, an extinguisher and a new rear light lens. A weekends fettling and you’re out there!

Spare set of mag wheels and some spares are included. It has full import papers and an Oregon registration document so it's not difficult to apply for a V5, if you want a really different road car.

This is a very rare, unique car and will get you invited to prestigious events.

Being offered at no reserve as I need the workshop space for other projects, so get bidding! Good luck.

The car is in Acton, Suffolk. I reserve the right to withdraw the car as it is advertised elsewhere.
