eBay
80 quattro 2.8. One owner from new until I bought it last autumn.

I don't have the stamped history but have sent a letter to try to find it, the rest of the book pack is there with receipts etc. The mileage is genuine from MOT history and from talking to the supplying dealer. There are receipts in the last few thousand miles adding up to many thousands of pounds, from the supplying dealer, where it was traded in by the original owner last year.

Has a few age related marks and dents, pictured, (incidentally none of which were pointed out to me before I drove 300 miles to get it, but I still bought it). Still has original paint on the subframes from what I can see, all copper brake pipes, pretty much a full brake/suspension/subframe/exhaust rebuild by the supplying dealer not long ago. Belts are recent looking Gates powergrip, so certainly are not original. Head gaskets have been done by supplying dealer too, receipt included.

New (£500) back box, new cats/down pipes, and during my winter tinkering a new battery, vacuum pipes, cam cover gaskets, MFTS, new oil and filter with flush and a new gearstick gaiter.

Almost a full year's MOT with NO advisories.

Very rare four stud 4 x 108 deep dish Ronal alloys, et37, and a set of matching tyres with a good whack of tread on them. I have been told it should have ten spoke wagon wheels, but I don't have any!

Diff lock clicks on and disengages automatically at about 15mph, as it should.

Communication via the ebay message system in the first instance please, as I find it very hard to find a spare minute until late at night.

Genuinely interested parties are welcome to come and view, we are south of Newton Stewart, just over 2 Hrs from Glasgow, 2 Hrs from Carlisle, 2 Hrs from Belfast (if you can swim fast!)

It's a cracking base for someone interested in doing a few cosmetics over time, I just won't use it now that the winter has passed and I don't want it to sit collecting moss for no good reason.

It's a 'rolling resto' and being sold as such. There is no point in 'watching' this item as nothing will change.

Thanks for reading.
