The piece is a pill or trinket box make of gold washed Sterling grade silver with a two toned blue guilloche enameled hinged lid.  

The box is marked with the Sterling .925 purity mark, the Italian silver, city, & export marks, and still has the original Salimbeni tag inside.

The piece is in very good vintage condition with only light surface scratches to the gilding (mostly at the bottom). 

The box measures 2.2" long, 1.75" wide, and .6" tall.
