THIS IS A BSA A10 CAFE RACER PROJECT WITH A B31 FRAME.

IT HAS NO V5C


I HAD BUILT AN A10 USING MOST OF THESE PARTS, DID JUST A FEW MILES ON IT, BUT HAD TO TAKE THE PETROL TANK OFF IT TO CHECK SOMETHING OUT.  WHEN THE TANK AND SEAT HAD BEEN REMOVED, I FOUND THE FRAME WAS OUT OF LINE!!!   THOUGHT IT WAS MY EYES PLAYING TRICKS ON ME, BUT I WAS WRONG!!   NOT A GOOD DAY!!!
THERE WAS NO WAY I WAS GOING TO REBUILD IT MYSELF ON ANOTHER FRAME, SO DECIDED TO PASS IT ON.  NO MORE BIKE BUILDING FOR ME FOR A WHILE!
 A B31 FRAME BECAME AVAILABLE, SO I STRIPPED DOWN MY ORIGINAL BUILD, AND PUT THE PARTS TOGETHER (99% OF THEM) ALONG WITH THE NEWLY ACQUIRED FRAME TO SELL AS A PROJECT.
THE PARTS THAT WERE ON MY ORIGINAL BUILD ARE IN GOOD-AS-NEW CONDITION, HAVING ONLY DONE A FEW MILES.
SOME PARTS FROM MY ORIGINAL BUILD, I HAVE KEPT HOLD OF FOR FUTURE USE.


SO HERE ARE THE DETAILS

THE ENGINE IS A SHORT STROKE 650 A10 WHICH HAS DONE 500 MILES (this is the 2nd one I have built) AND HAS:-
A REGROUND LARGE JOURNAL CRANKSHAFT, AND REGROUND & HARDENED CAMFOLLOWERS,
NEW BIG-END SHELLS,
NEW DRIVE-SIDE MAIN BEARING & TIMING-SIDE BUSH,
NEW PUSHRODS,
A65 CONRODS WITH NEW SMALL-END BUSHES,
A7 BARREL BORED OUT TO 70mm (STD 650) WITH NEW FLAT TOP PISTONS.
THE CRANKSHAFT, CONRODS & PISTONS HAVE BEEN DYNAMICALLY BALANCED.
IT HAS AN A7SS CYLINDER WHICH HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY WELDED UP AROUND THE TOP FIN AREA ON BOTH SIDED (as per pic).
THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER HAS BEEN OPENED OUT TO 70mm.
ALSO IT HAS HAD NEW SUPER ROCKET VALVES (IN & EXH) + HARDENED UNLEADED VALVE SEATS FITTED, ALONG WITH NEW SPRINGS, COLLETS, CUPS & COLLARS.
A NEW 67-357 HIGH LIFT SPITFIRE CAMSHAFT HAS ALSO BEEN FITTED.
THE SLUDGE TUBE HAS ALL BEEN CLEANED OUT THOROUGHLY AND NEW CRANK PLUGS AND ANTI WET-SUMPING BALL & SPRING FITTED INSIDE THE CRANKCASE.
IT COMES WITH A CAST ALLOY SUMP PLATE.
THE ROCKER BOX HAS BEEN RECONDITIONED AND HAS NEW FIXING BOLTS.
ALSO NEW CYLINDER HEAD BOLTS HAVE BEEN USED.
THIS ENGINE REVS NICELY!!

THE GEARBOX IS A STANDARD ONE THAT HAS BEEN RECONDITIONED USING NEW LAYSHAFT & SLEEVE GEAR BUSHES, ALONG WITH A NEW KICKSTART RATCHET PINION, NEW INNER COVER BEARING, NEW SLEEVE GEAR BEARING & OIL SEAL.  IF MY MEMORY SERVES ME RIGHT, I ALSO FITTED NEW KICKSTART QUADRANT BUSHES AND NEW GEARCHANGE SHAFT BUSHES TOO, BUT I CAN'T BE CERTAIN!!
THIS GEARBOX IS ALSO FITTED WITH AN RRT2 KICKSTART QUADRANT FOR USE WITH THE REARSET FOOTREST INCLUDED IN THIS PROJECT.
IT HAS A NEW 19 TOOTH SPROCKET FITTED, + NEW KICKSTART PEDAL & GEARCHANGE PEDAL TOO.

THIS PROJECT COMES WITH A 4 SPRING CUSHDRIVE CLUTCH WHICH HAS EVERYTHING NEW, OTHER THAN THE CLUTCH CENTRE WHICH IS PERFECTLY USABLE.
THERE ARE NEW CUSHDRIVE RUBBERS FITTED TO IT, AND IT HAS A NEW PRIMARY CHAIN & ENGINE SPROCKET.
THE PRIMARY CHAINCASE & TIMING COVER HAVE NEW STAINLESS STEEL ALLEN SCREWS.

AS YOU CAN SEE, IT HAS AN A65 SPITFIRE TANK WHICH I BOUGHT NEW, AND HAD SPRAYED IN 2-PACK BLACK, AND IT COMES FITTED WITH NEW TAPS & CAP ALONG WITH A NEW AMAL MONOBLOC CARB.

THE REAR WHEEL HAS A NEW 18" ALLOY RIM (MURAD) + NEW GALVANISED SPOKES, NEW TUBE & TYRE.
THERE ARE NEW BEARINGS FITTED TO THE HUB & SPROCKET.
THE BRAKE DRUM HAS NEW BRAKE SHOES & SPRINGS, BRAKE PLATE ETC.

THE FRONT WHEEL HAS AN 8" DOUBLE-SIDED SINGLE-LEADING SHOE TRIUMPH HUB WITH BSA BRAKE PLATES FITTED.
IT ALSO HAS A GENUINE DUNLOP 19" ALLOY RIM WITH NEW GALVANISED SPOKES.
NEW BEARINGS HAVE ALSO BEEN FITTED.

THERE IS A NEW RGS FRONT SEAT & BRACKET, ALONG WITH NEW ARROWHEAD MUDGUARD STAYS.

THE FRONT FORKS HAVE NEW STANCHIONS FITTED WITH NEW OIL SEAL HOLDERS, SEALS ETC.

IT COMES WITH 12 VOLT ELECTRONIC IGNITION & REGULATOR, ALONG WITH A WORKING 6 VOLT DYNAMO WHICH WILL NEED TO BE CONVERTED TO 12 VOLT.
A WIRING HARNESS IS ALSO INCLUDED (I CAN SUPPLY A WIRING DIAGRAM WITH IT IF REQUIRED).

THE MAJORITY OF FIXINGS ARE IN STAINLESS STEEL, AND ALSO THE STEERING STEM NUT & HANDLEBAR CLAMPS AND BOLTS WHICH ARE POLISHED.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE MAJORITY OF THESE PARTS WERE ON MY BIKE PREVIOUSLY RUN FOR A HANDFUL OF MILES, SO WHEN I HAVE STATED A PART AS NEW, IT WAS NEW WHEN I BUILT MY BIKE.
