Un-used, Dead stock fabric is good
BUT nickle press studs have some corroding due to age.
the press studs still work its just cosmetic.

Commercially made (for camping/hiking) Not military issue,
These are designed to fit average 700ml-800ml canteen type water bottles,
such as the US type kidney water bottles, (check your bottle capacity,
there are generally 800ml bottles and 1L bottles in use)
They have belt loop and metal hook on the reverse (for old type military belts)

THESE WONT FIT -- Vintage French Bottles (to tall), Issue 58 Pattern Bottles (to fat)
they will probably fit the commercial copies, which are slightly smaller.
i also i tried them with Russian army bottles, east German army bottles, dutch army bottles and they fit the ones i have.

Useful for insulating your bottle in cold weather, or in warm weather can be submerged and will keep your bottle cool,
