eBay

Welcome to the auction of  my 1981 Sherpa.

This is an unrestored, genuine Minibus with  a mileage  of  an incredible 129 kilometres ( 80 miles) from new, and has the BMC 1.8 b. series Diesel engine . Whilst some  may read with amazement, this vehicle needs to be seen for people to appreciate , there will never be another unrestored  Minibus with mileage and condition .

Of course trying to verify its authenticity, there is a very exciting yet sad story as to why she has been put away so to speak until recently as late last year . I won't bore you with the details on here, except to say a magazine  will be featuring  the vehicle in the coming months .

The pictures of this vehicle  does not do it justice in regarding just how good it is. In my mind  it is as good as when it was built. Everything is new, and because it has come from a warm climate, there are very few marks on it .Even the shockers in their casing have no oxidisation on them and the leaf springs on the back still have paper tickets on them as if just fitted.

My thoughts  are this  vehicle should go to a serious collector who will keep it in the condition it is in now and not let it do any mileage, but that will be up to any new owner.  Of course anybody can find faults, but how often  do you see  unrestored  rare vehicles with such low mileage  like this on them. the pictures show the vehicle in its honest status .

The side door has a very small dent in it , which I am told will come out by none painting methods. The vehicle as you can see is left hand drive, but if its to be a long term investment, then I don't think it matters anyway ,nor should it be to anyone who wanted to drive it.

Whilst I'm not in a hurry to sell I do know there isn't anything on the market in this unrestored low mileage condition at this time , and the buyer will be buying something  that can only go up  in value if left as it is  and cocooned  away in some warm garage. My reasons for selling are genuine. Look at other light commercial classics and look at what they are  fetching. From Morris minivans to minor vans, ford transits etc, all commanding big money and needing work, this  will be the crème de la crème in the light commercial scene . I may be willing to take a cheaper part ex through ebay rules.

Vehicle has come from an EU country and still requires to be registered in the UK.
