DescriptionUp for your consideration is this 1946 ZENITH TUBE RADIO PHONOGRAPH MODEL 6R084. I recently acquired with an estate purchase. I plugged it in and everthing works. The cord and wiring look good. The record player can hardly be heard, however the radio puts out much more volume, so I think it needs a new needle. With just a little tweaking this one would be real nice. It has the original finish on the mahogany veneer. The tuner for the radio has 2 different dials for adjusting the sound and tuning in. The two buttons at the bottom on the front: one switches it from radio to phono, and the other starts the phongraph for automatic operation. The automatic works properly, but it needs to adjusted with 2 little set screws on the shaft. I will leave that to the buyers discretion. Everything is easily accessible from the botton (see photo). I let the radio play for a while just to make sure about it playing good. The speaker seems kind of raspy on some of the few stations I could get. I'm not sure if its lose wires on the speaker or possibly weak tubes. Please look at my other items I currently have listed. I try to list 60 to 80 new items every week. I combine shipping, pack items right, and ship them out upon payment.
