How to buy Lots of Items on 1 Invoice

I know there are many new Buyers here on eBay and so I thought this might be useful information to share.

Often you will want to buy several items from one Seller and as eBay was originally set up as a one-off auction site their rules have yet to change enough to make multiple item purchase smooth and simple. This means that Sellers have to charge shipping per item… This is not always an accurate method, as here in the UK particularly shipping is multi-faceted and therefore complicated to work out in easy increments. It is however possible to contact Sellers to combine shipping and to save yourself some money when making larger orders from Sellers. eBay’s ‘Request a Total’ method allows Sellers to combine all of your purchases onto one invoice and reduce shipping, or give discounts where their selling policy applies. Here is a brief overview of how that works in my shop, which will be the same for many Sellers.

I am more than happy to put your purchases together, here at Sara's Texture Crafts.

  1. Commit to buy the all of the items you want to buy, remembering to add the quantities of each item you want. Ebay will ask you to either pay seller now, continue shopping or view seller's other items after each purchase. Press continue shopping or view seller's other items, so that you can add more to your order.
  2. Once you have added everything to your basket you will find you have a bought item list from me under My eBay/Items won. On the right hand side of the order there is a drop down menu.
  3. Press 'request total' or contact seller & ask me to adjust your invoice.

Once I get confirmation you have finished shopping I can come in & adjust your invoice with the correct P&P (you are entitled to shipping discounts on bulk in my shop) & send you an invoice to be paid within 7 days. It seems a bit complicated, but once you get the hang of it it's an easier way to buy many items from one seller. There are some Sellers who do not offer this service. It is important that you ask a Seller before making an order if you are unsure of their terms. Equally you must make sure that you follow these steps before you pay for orders as some sellers will not refund overpayments. It is extremely important that you read their terms and conditions before you purchase.

I hope you find this useful,
Sara.
