This vintage amazing Art Deco silk applique bowling bubble dancers dress skirt & blouse outfit dates from the 1930s. It is made of a coral color silk fabric, with black & white applique work done in a Art Deco modern design of bold geometric shapes, women holding bubbles, bowling balls. This outstanding suit 2 piece outfit includes a long loose fitting blouse, with drawn cut work on the front top, a key hole opening hook closure neckline, belted back, front pockets, long sleeves and side zipper closure. The top measures 22 inches long, with a 32 inch waist, 34 inch bust, 14 inch back and 21 inch long sleeves. There is a matching fabric skirt with pleating and a fitted waistband with side snaps, hook closures. The skirt measures 28 inches long, with 36 inch hips and a 28 inch waist. It is in as-is fair condition, with some weak areas in the fabric, faint underarm discoloration, tiny fray under one arm, on back neck and a frayed rip on the elbow sleeve (see close-up). It would be excellent for design, inspiration or pattern! This is truly a rare and unique piece of wearable Art Deco textile art! |
