 Very Good content. I am sure you know that 19 Squadron was the first Spitfire equipped Squadron in the RAF.

''Being  the senior Spitfire Squadron it was our good and bad luck, mostly good luck, to test all new spitfire notifications  in action, the bad luck and it really was bad  were the first two cannon spitfires, they jammed when the slightest 'G' was applied. After several weeks of failure the squadron refused to fly them and we got our old machine gun spitfires back from an O.C.U. and our score rapidly rose.'' Wynnn details enclosed.
