Pritchardia pacifica - Fiji Fan Palm
This listing is for a pack of 10 seeds.
A medium sized fan palm growing no more than 10 metres tall in habitat, with a single trunk up to 30 cm in diameter. It is a native to Tonga and Fiji, although it is widely planted as an ornamental throughout the tropics. It is a widely sought after palm by enthusiasts and collectors. Common names include the Fiji Fan Palm and Loulu Palm
It is a striking palm with it's large fan like leaves, which are divided only at the very margins. It can be used as a houseplant and, if pot grown, will remain within manageable proportions. Once established it is relatively slow growing, again making it ideal as a house or conservatory plant.
It is not at all hardy and is only marginal in areas where the temperature drops to 5 Deg C, again pointing towards use as a houseplant in temperate areas.
