Graf Harrach Pitcher
This auction is for a Graf Harrach pitcher with a deep aquamarine background. It has gilt floral decoration at the top. Around the middle there is a gilt Acanthus motif. Finally, there is a gilt border at the bottom.
The overall height is 6-1/2" and the width across the top rim is 6-3/4".
The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, scrapes of the enameling or glass, etc. There is however, some loss of the gilt enameled striping on the handle (see photo).
Graf Harrach was one of the largest and most respected glass houses in Bohemia. The piece is circa 1880 - 1890.
I am including a photo of books on Moser glass authored by Mr. Gary Baldwin, a noted expert in the field. Mr. Baldwin has seen this and other Moser glass pieces that I am currently listing on eBay and verified their authenticity and dating.
